Here's What's Happening

As we approach the opening of the 2026-2027 school year on August 3, 3026, the leadership of Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) reminds students and their families that the district will comply with the Distraction-Free Schools Act. This act, signed into law by Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, involves the use of personal electronic devices at school and school-sponsored events by students in kindergarten through eighth grade. 

Personal communication/electronic devices include, but are not limited to, cell phones, tablets, smart watches, wireless earbuds or headphones, smart glasses, gaming systems, digital media players, and e-readers. Students with Individualized Education Plans will have access to devices required within their IEP as required by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
