Here's What's Happening
JONESBORO - All schools and offices of Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) will be closed on Monday, September 1, 2025, in observance of Labor Day.
The district will observe the first Extending Learning Beyond the Classroom (ELBC) Day of the 2025-2026 School Year on Tuesday, September 2. All students in grades Pre-K-12 will remain home for asynchronous or independent learning, while all staff will report to work on that day. For more details, see below.

Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) will observe the first Extending Learning Beyond the Classroom (ELBC) Day of the 2025-2026 School Year on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. All students in grades Pre-K-12 will remain home for asynchronous (independent) learning. All district staff will report to their respective locations on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, to engage in professional learning to enhance and improve classroom practices.
The purpose of ELBC Days is to provide students with meaningful, productive, and independent learning days that afford teachers with uninterrupted time to engage in collaborative planning and professional learning to continuously enhance instructional practices and student learning outcomes.

Things to Know for ELBC Days:
Please be advised that elementary and middle school students will receive hard copies of their assignments from their teachers on Friday, August 29, 2025, to be completed at home on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. High school students will access their assignments electronically.
How will students receive their meals for the ELBC day?
The school district will provide breakfast and lunch meals to all CCPS students on each of the ELBC Days. Students will pick up their breakfast and lunch meals at school on Friday before the scheduled ELBC Day.
