Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) welcomed actor Jalyn Hall for an industry talk session in Tarpley Hall at the CCPS Performing Arts Center located in Jonesboro, GA. The industry talk session was created to serve as an opportunity for secondary film and theatre scholars to begin to learn and interact with someone close to their age about the "Industry"!

Hosted by the Fine Arts Department, under the leadership of Dr. Prince Bowie, whose motto is "Education in the Arts, and Education through the Arts", Jalyn Hall was welcomed by a room full of more than 100  film and theatre scholars from various schools such as M. D. Roberts School of the Arts, Mundy’s Mill Middle School, and Martha E. Stilwell School of the Arts.

Jalyn Hall, an American 18-year old actor from Atlanta, Georgia, discussed how he got started as an actor, gave insights into the entertainment industry, acting techniques, and his personal journey in Hollywood. He is most known for his roles as Dillon James on “All American” and as Emmett Till in the 2022 biographical film “Till” but has also appeared in leading and supporting roles such as “Crossover” (2023), “Bruiser” (2022), “Space Jam: A New Legacy” (2021), “Shaft” (2019), and many more.

Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS) sends a huge thank you to Jalyn Hall and his team for allowing time in his schedule to meet with our scholars. CCPS also sends gratitude to everyone who attended, and made this event a success.
