Get ready for an exciting evening of learning and practical strategies you can use right at home! The Elementary English Language Arts Department invites you to our upcoming Virtual Parent University: “Show Me How You Think: Modeling Learning at Home.”

Virtual Session via Zoom
Have you ever helped your child with homework and wondered, “How can I help without just giving them the answer?” This session is for YOU!
During this fun, family-friendly Parent University, we’ll show you simple ways to make your thinking visible so your child can see how strong learners work through a task. Families will learn how to use quick “think-alouds,” break directions into manageable steps, model a task before practicing together, and ask questions that encourage children to explain their thinking and build confidence.
Don’t forget to REGISTER!
Scan the registration QR code on the attached flyer to reserve your spot. Then, when it’s time to join us on September 24, simply use the Zoom meeting link provided on the flyer. Both the registration QR code and Zoom access information are located at the bottom of the flyer.
