Here's What's Happening

Clayton County Public Schools’ Department of Student Services served more than 1,200 families through four school-based grocery markets in June 2026. Through these efforts, the District supported more than 2,300 children and distributed 55,000 pounds of food, equivalent to approximately 45,650 meals. Families received fresh produce, dairy products, frozen foods, grains, beverages, canned goods, and other essential grocery items.

The Summer Markets were made possible through partnerships with Helping Hands Ending Hunger, Kroger, Community Teen Coalition, dedicated volunteers, and CCPS staff.

Through this initiative, CCPS continues to support student wellness, strengthen families, and connect our community with essential resources.

CCPS will continue offering school-based grocery markets to families during the 2026–2027 school year at four locations:

• Eddie White Academy
• Forest Park Middle School
• Jonesboro Middle School
• North Clayton High School
