The Clayton County Board of Education today announces its intention to increase the 2025 property taxes it will levy this year by 0.26 percent over the rollback millage rate. The district will maintain its millage rate at 19.600 mills which will allow the district to support the approved Fiscal Year 2026 Budget adopted in June by the Clayton County Board of Education. A series of three public hearings on this tax increase will be held on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. and on Monday, August 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. The hearings will be held at the Clayton County Board of Education Cafe, 1098 Fifth Ave., Jonesboro, GA, 3023
